The Te Haeata website was created to enable Ngati Porou’s Treaty of Waitangi Settlement sub-committee (Te Haeata) to communicate more effectively with whanau and hapu. The bi-lingual site provides the iwi with a true online community packed with interactive features including polls, an events calendar, blogs, a YouTube channel, the “Nati World” map of Ngati Porou around the globe, and the opportunity for users to get their own Ngati Porou email address.
